Then…and Now

Then: The former Candle Glo Inn was built in 1927 and was originally located in the 300 block of E. Silver Springs Blvd. The building was moved to make way for construction of the building which now includes Parramore Music. The Candle Glo reopened on the 700 block of E. Silver Springs Blvd. It remained there until it was again moved to make way for another commercial building. [State Archives of Florida]

Now: The building, shown in September, is now located at 944 E. Silver Springs Blvd. The location most recently housed Tea With Lee. The tea shop, serving high tea since the 1990s, closed a few years ago. Before that, the building housed a decorating business and a restaurant. The building is currently for sale. [Bruce Ackerman/OG]
