Publix opens new store in Pearl Britain Plaza

Publix opened a new store in Pearl Britain Plaza on Northeast 35th Street in Ocala, Fla. on Thursday, Oct. 7, 2021. The new, 48,387 square foot store was built on the same location of the old Publix that was in Pearl Britain Plaza. To accomodate the rebuild, the Publix location was closed for several months. According to a press release from the Publix corporate office in Jacksonville, the store will be open 7 days a week and will offer departments for grocery, dairy, frozen food, seafood, meat and fresh produce as well as a full-service deli and pharmacy. Publix Super Markets opened a new store at the Pearl Britain Plaza in Ocala on Oct. 7.

The 48,387 square-foot store offers departments for grocery, dairy, frozen food, seafood, meat and fresh produce, as well as a full-service bakery, deli and pharmacy.

“We are very excited for the opening of our newest location in the Pearl Britain Plaza. Publix looks forward to continuing our long relationship with the community of Ocala and providing its residents with the premier service and quality products they have grown accustomed to,” said Chris Norberg, community relations manager at the Publix Jacksonville Division.

The new store is located at 2655 N.E. 35^th St. and has regular store hours of 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., seven days a week.

Pharmacy hours are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Saturday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
