Local MSS director appointed to health council

Marion Senior Services Director Jennifer Martinez has joined the board of WellFlorida, north central Florida’s state designated local health council.

WellFlorida, which is comprised of 16 counties, has a board of healthcare providers, purchasers and consumers who are appointed by their local county commissioners.

“I am honored and privileged to join WellFlorida’s Board of Directors and look forward to leveraging my experience to provide guidance for residents to age in place with dignity for as long and as safely as possible,” said Martinez in a press release.

Martinez has served as the executive director for Marion Senior Services for eight years and previously worked at Hospice of Marion County.
