Discovery Center to Host “Molly of Denali” Cultural Exhibit
Interactive display brings Alaska Native life to the museum

The acclaimed PBS KIDS series “Molly of Denali” is coming to the Explore Alaska in Discovery Center with a new cultural exhibit that follows the adventures of Molly Mabray, her family, friends, and dog Suki in the fictitious rural Alaskan village of Qyah.
“Molly of Denali: An Alaskan Adventure” will take visitors on a journey through the summer and winter seasons, exploring the great outdoors of Alaska and Alaska Native life. Visitors will have the opportunity to interact with Molly and her family in their daily lives, learn about the importance of sledding and camping in the snow, and even try their hand at ice fishing. The exhibit will also feature a replica bush plane, snowmobile, and sled dogs, allowing visitors to experience a unique take on Alaskan life.
According to the City, the national traveling exhibit was created by The Magic House, St. Louis Children’s Museum, in collaboration with GBH Kids and a team of Alaska Native advisors.
The exhibit will be on display at the Discovery Center from Saturday, September 14, through Saturday, January 6. The center will be closed to the public from September 1 through 13, in preparation for the installation of the exhibit.
