A craggly old face wrapped in a feather boa, these wood storks were enjoying the morning light at Tuscawilla Park, where they are a common sight. They were listed as endangered from 1984 but their population has been increasing and they were upgraded to “threatened” in 2014. Fun fact: to regulate their body temperature in hot weather, they poop on their own legs.
