At a glance, this large pink wading bird in Florida could be mistaken for a flamingo. But a second look at the goofy, spoon-shaped bill distinguishes this as a roseate spoonbill. Like flamingos, they get their pink color from a diet of shrimp, crustaceans and small fish. This one was photographed at the World Equestrian Center. (Photo: MichaelWarren.com)
