White pelican

A squad of majestic white pelicans, including this one, recently descended on the ponds at Tuscawilla Park. They’re also frequently spotted at the Lopez Legacy golf course in The Villages. They don’t hunt with spectacular crash-dives like brown pelicans. Instead, they scoop up fish and other critters from the water’s surface often working as a team.
