The Silver River Museum will reopen this weekend, after a hiatus due to the coronavirus pandemic and a shortage of volunteers.

The museum had opened for weekends only last month but was forced to close when it did not have enough volunteers to man it after the first weekend.

Museum Director Scott Mitchell said this that after word got out about the volunteer problem that a number of new volunteers stepped up and now the museum will be open on Saturdays and Sundays, beginning this weekend. The hours will be 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. both days.

Mitchell is asking all to please remember that properly worn face coverings are required to enter.
