PTSD walk/run breaks record

The 2025 PTSD Awareness Walk/Run drew record-breaking support from the Marion County community and raised more than $21,000 for local nonprofits.

“The event served as a powerful testament to the community’s commitment to raising awareness and providing support for those affected by post traumatic stress disorder,” noted the news release.

Proceeds from the event, including T-shirt sales, benefited Veterans Helping Veterans, Marion County Fire Rescue Peer Support and H3 Adventures. Each organization received a donation of more than $7,000 and the funds will support veterans, first responders and others in need of support for mental health challenges.
