Voter engagement campaign
Launch includes Alachua, Marion and Columbia counties.

The National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Incorporated, Greater Gainesville, FL Chapter has launched its nonpartisan 2026 voter engagement campaign: “Our Voice. Our Vote. Our Future.”
The campaign is designed to encourage voter registration, civic participation and community engagement throughout greater Gainesville/Alachua County, Marion and Columbia counties ahead of the 2026 primary and general elections.
“Our goal is quite simple,” said chapter president Florida Bridgewater-Alford in a news release. “We want every eligible voter in our communities to understand that their voice matters and their vote matters. And we want them to teach one, bring one.”
The campaign will include engaged voter education efforts, community outreach events, social media engagement, partnerships with local organizations and public service announcements encouraging residents to register and participate in the election process.

“Our campaign is designed to meet people where they are, provide accurate information and encourage neighbors, family members and friends to register, vote and stay engaged. When we participate, our communities are stronger and our voices are impossible to ignore,” said Ivy Bell, chair of the chapter’s Public Policy Committee.
Election dates:
- Primary election voter registration deadline: July 20
- Primary election day: Aug. 18
- General election voter registration deadline: Oct. 5
- General election day: Nov. 3
