Fine Arts for Ocala is rescheduling its annual Symphony Under the Stars show for June 6 due to poor weather conditions.

Given the high chance of heavy rainfall and thunderstorms, FAFO said it is rescheduling the event, which originally was slated for May 11.

The outdoor live music event and fireworks show will now take place on June 6 at the Ocala Golf Club at 3130 East Silver Springs Blvd. Gates open at 3 p.m., the Ocala Symphony Orchestra performs at 7 p.m. and the fireworks begin around 8:45 p.m.

The National Weather Service in Jacksonville predicts daily rounds of locally heavy rain through May 12, with isolated strong afternoon and evening storms daily. Ocala is expected to see about 3 to 6 inches of rain through the weekend.

“The safety and comfort of our guests, performers, and volunteers are our top priority,” wrote FAFO. “Rest assured, we are working diligently behind the scenes to ensure a wonderful and memorable Symphony experience for everyone
