Three men, including two 18-year-olds, were arrested on Thursday on gun charges, according to the Ocala Police Department.

The arrests came as a result of OPD’s intelligence-driving policing. Officer stopped a vehicle in the 3600 Block of Northeast 19th Place. Two of the three people inside had warrants for their arrest, the third was on probation for possession of a firearm.

When police searched the car, they found three guns. Two were reported stolen and a third had the serial number scratched off, according to reports.

Cevion Jackson, 18, Ke’Shawn Shannon, 18, and Jartavious Braddock, 21, were all booked into the Marion County Jail on multiple charges including possession of a firearm by a convicted felon of a juvenile delinquent.

Shannon and Jackson had active warrants. Braddock was on felony probation for possession of a firearm, according to reports.

The arrests come in the wake of multiple shootings, including two fatal shootings, of teenagers in Marion County over the last year.
