Printmaking exhibition

The College of Central Florida Webber Gallery will present “The 2026 Extreme Pressure 3rd Biennial of American Prints” from Aug. 3- Sept 11.
The competitive national exhibition is open to all forms of traditional printmaking and will showcase the diverse techniques, perspectives and creative possibilities found in contemporary printmaking throughout the United States, the news release noted.
Five cash prizes will be awarded, with purchase awards totaling a minimum of $2,000 through local organizations including the College of Central Florida permanent collection.
The artworks will be judged by Donald Furst, emeritus professor of art at the University of North Carolina Wilmington. As a faculty member for nearly 40 years, Furst received numerous teaching distinctions and is currently the operator of Ars Longa Press, a fine art atelier specializing in stone lithography, mezzotint and other forms of intaglio printmaking. His work has been exhibited and collected internationally.
The community is invited to a reception and awards presentation at 4:30 p.m. on Aug. 20. The gallery is on the CF Ocala Campus at 3001 SW College Road. It is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Admission is free.
