Police seek clues in Dec. 25 homicide

The Ocala Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred early Christmas Day and claimed the life of a 21-year-old man.

Ja’narre Suggs was found deceased at a residence in the 800 block of West Silver Springs Place after officers responded to “a report of gunshots” in the vicinity around 4:11 a.m. on Dec. 25, according to OPD statements.

“Detectives are actively investigating this homicide, and we are working closely with the victim’s family during this difficult time,” an OPD press release stated.
