The Ocala Police Department announced on Monday it would temporarily close the lobby at its headquarters.

“In an effort to keep the community safe and limit the spread of COVID-19, the Ocala Police Department headquarters lobby, located at 402 S. Pine Ave., will be temporarily closed to the public until further notice,” a press release stated.

While the lobby will be closed, residents will still be able to receive services.

Those who want to speak with an officer can do so through a phone located in front of the lobby entrance. The police’s drive-through window will remain open for record requests. Police reports can also be done online at click here.
