The City of Ocala Recreation and Parks Department will host a six-month series of town hall meetings beginning Saturday, Feb. 19. The town hall meetings will take place on the third Saturday of the month through July at the E.D. Croskey Recreation Center, 1510 NW Fourth St., 10 to 11 a.m.

The town hall meetings will focus on the recreation and parks department along with the cultural arts division. Community members are encouraged to attend to ask questions and provide feedback on programs and events offered by the recreation and parks department.

The first meeting will focus on the developing Mary Sue Rich Community Center, the E.D. Croskey Recreation Center and public art in the community. Meetings are free and open to the public.

“We are encouraging citizens to attend with any questions they may have regarding these topics, or other topics relevant to department operations,” says Jacob Baker, Recreation Program Supervisor at the E.D. Croskey Center. “It is the goal of these meetings to create a direct line of communication between City of Ocala departments and employees, and the community members we serve.”
