North Marion Middle School was one of six schools in the nation to win the 6th Annual Sandy Hook Promise Say Something Award.

Sandy Hook Promise (SHP) is a national nonprofit organization trying to end school shootings and preventing violence that hurt children.

The awards recognize the creative ways schools celebrate “up-standers,” students who speak up to get help for classmates.

Members of the school’s Students Against Violence Everywhere (SAVE) Club at North Marion Middle created and submitted their winning video available at https://vimeo.com/527974180.

North Marion Middle School will receive a $300 prize, among other honors.
