The City of Ocala Recreation and Parks will implement new pool hours for the city’s Aquatic Fun Centers starting on June 1.

The Jervey Gantt Aquatic Fun Center and the Hampton Aquatic Fun Center will be open Tuesdays through Saturdays. There will be two sessions each day: Aa morning session from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and an afternoon session from 2 to 5 p.m. Both centers will be closed Sundays and Mondays.

For Memorial Day weekend there will be a special extended operating schedule. The aquatic centers will open for the season on May 29 with a morning session from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and an afternoon session from 2 to 5 p.m. The centers will be open May 30 from 1 to 5 p.m. and Memorial Day for two sessions: A morning session from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and an afternoon session from 2 to 5 p.m.

The previously advertised hours for the City of Ocala’s Aquatic Fun Centers are changing due to a shortage of lifeguards needed to maintain proper coverage and ensure the safety of pool patrons.
