Navy bombing to take place Aug. 5 and 7 in Ocala National Forest

Navy training schedules indicate that inert bombing will take place at the Pinecastle Range Complex in the Ocala National Forest:

Aug. 5: 9:15-11am and 2:15-4pm

Aug. 7: 9:15-11am

The news release notes that “During bombing periods, wildlife may be temporarily displaced. Use extra caution when driving through the Ocala National Forest and surrounding areas. Secure any items around your residence that could attract wildlife. Always be mindful of larger animals including black bears and practice bearwise myfwc.com/wildlifehabitats/managed/bear/wise/neighborhood/ measures.
