During January, MCFR responded to 6,428 calls.

Of the 6,428 calls, 156 were fire alarms, 61 were structure fires, 772 were traffic crashes, and 4792 were medical calls of which 2784 required lights and sirens.

Of all the public safety agencies in Marion County, MCFR has the largest territory to stage daily since it provides ambulance service for the entire county.

Over the past year, in a proactive effort to reduce MCFR workload, local hospitals have transitioned to handling their own inner facility transfers.
