Longtime UF Agriculture Dean Stepping Down

The longtime dean of the University of Florida’s College of Agricultural and Life Sciences is stepping down and returning to the faculty. The university announced Thursday it has started a search for a dean to succeed Elaine Turner, who has held the position since 2014. The college administers degree programs of UF’s Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences. Turner has been a member of the UF/IFAS faculty since 1996. A new dean is expected to start in January, Thursday’s announcement said.
