Information sought in shooting of teen in NW Marion County

Marion County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) detectives are seeking citizens’ help in the apparent homicide death of a 17-year-old male whose body was found in a wooded area northwest of Ocala on Wednesday,  June 7.

The body of Lezarius Amirre Graham was found after deputies responded around 7:15 p.m. to the 2100 block of Northwest 43rd Street following a report from a lawn maintenance worker of finding a deceased person on the property, according to an MCSO report.

The area where the body was found is northwest of Ocala off Gainesville Road. The MCSO report states Graham’s remains were found in a wooded area and near an apartment. He had been shot.

Graham was pronounced deceased by Marion County Fire Rescue personnel at 7:32 p.m.

Graham would’ve turned 18 on June 22.

The MCSO report indicates Major Crimes officials responded to the scene, as did the Watch Commander and Sheriff Billy Woods.
