You know, sometimes you’ve just got to tell yourself that those objets d’art collecting dust on the etagere would be better off being loved by a new owner.
If that’s the case with your collectibles, then box them up and drop them off at the Marion Cultural Alliance’s Brick City Center for the Arts. That way, they can be purchased by someone to show them some new love, with the proceeds benefiting the alliance’s local programs and local artists.
The annual Art in the Attic y-ART Sale FUNdraising event will kick off with a VIP Sip and Shop ticketed event on Friday, July 12. The cost is $25 for MCA members and $35 for nonmembers. The 5 to 7 p.m. soiree and early shopping opportunity includes an art market. From July 13 to 20, the sale is open to the public from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.
Among the items organizers are hoping to have donated well ahead of the event are pieces of fine art, craft supplies, home decor, sculptures, prints, jewelry and more. The Brick City Center for the Arts is located at 23 SW Broadway St., in downtown Ocala.
