Regional tournaments begin for prep girls’ volleyball teams this week.

Read on to see which local public and private schools earned regional quarterfinal berths, and when and who they are playing next.

Trinity Catholic Celtics

Class 3A Region 1

Trinity Catholic defeated Father Lopez last week to claim the 3A-3 district title for the second year in a row on Oct. 22.

The defending 2020 3A state champion Celtics—No. 2 seed in Region 1—will next face the No. 7 seed Providence School at home on Oct. 26 at 7 p.m. in the regional quarterfinals.

Vanguard Knights

Class 5A Region 2

Vanguard defeated Lecanto to claim the 5A-5 district title in three-straight sets on Oct. 21.

The No. 2 seed Knights will next face the No. 7 seed Freedom at home on Oct. 27 at 7 p.m. in the regional quarterfinals.

Forest Wildcats

Class 6A Region 1

Forest lost to Chiles in the 6A-3 district semifinals on Oct. 2.

The No. 7 seed Wildcats will travel next to meet the 2021 6A-3 district champion Leon Lions, who are No. 2 seed in Region 1, on Oct. 27 at 7 p.m. in the regional quarterfinals.

St. John Lutheran Saints

Class 2A Region 3

St. John Lutheran defeated Redeemer Christian 3-0 to win the 2A-9 district title on Oct. 21.

The No. 2 seed Saints will next host the No. 7 seed Geneva on Oct. 26 at 7 p.m. in the regional quarterfinals.
