Gasoline prices in Florida continue to show a post-Memorial Day slide, as demand is down and oil stockpiles are up. “Gas prices are the lowest in several months because of weakness in the oil and gasoline futures markets,” AAA spokesman Mark Jenkins said in a prepared statement. The average price of a gallon of regular unleaded gas Monday in Florida was $3.28, according to AAA. That was down from $3.44 a week earlier and $3.49 a month earlier. The state average was $3.54 on May 24, the start of the holiday weekend. The national average price Monday was $3.45 a gallon. Florida’s lowest average prices were in the Panhandle, including $3.09 a gallon in the Crestview-Fort Walton Beach area. By contrast, motorists in the West Palm Beach-Boca Raton area paid $3.51 a gallon.
