Landon Boyles, 10, does a dolphin slide backwards on the bottom of a canoe as camp counselors watch at Camp Kiwanis in the Ocala National Forest on Tuesday, June 14, 2022. Camp Kiwanis was started in 1948 and this year, about 104 campers per week are attending the four-week summertime fun camp which has become a local institution over the years. Twenty-five percent of the campers are able to go to the camp for free through scholarships paid by the Kiwanis Club. All of the instructors and camp counselors are members of the Marion County Public School Board and the camp runs through July 1.[Bruce Ackerman/Ocala Gazette] 2022.
