Free cat sterilization, vaccines

Marion County Animal Services and the Human Society of Marion County, in partnership with animal advocacy groups VOCAL and Sheltering Hands will be hosting the BIG FIX on April 14 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The BIG FIX is a joint, collaborative effort to help the community and its population of cats. All event day services are free and include sterilization, vaccines, flea prevention, pain medication and ear tip. Feral, owned and community cats will be accepted.

To register owned cats, call VOCAL at 352-289-0800 or visit VocalForPets.org. For feral and community cats, call Sheltering Hands at 352-840-0663 or visit ShelteringHands.org. Donations are appreciated and pre-registration is required.
