Free book expo in The Villages on Jan. 25

The Writers League of The Villages and the Villages Recreation Department are hosting the 2026 Book Expo from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Jan. 25 at the Eisenhower Recreation Center at 3569 Buena Vista Boulevard, The Villages. Admission is free.
The expo will showcase “100’s of talented and award-winning authors” including Dave McKeon, writer of the “Lou Gault Thriller Series,” and local writers Steven LeShay, Charlaine Martin and CW Whitehair, according to organizers.
It will feature a talk at 11 a.m. by Drake Shepard, who portrays Leonardo Da Vinci and discusses his artistic and engineering accomplishments, and a talk at 1 p.m. by Roberta Moore on “what near-death experiences tell us about living well.” Both guest speakers will be hosted in the General MacArthur Room.
