First Friday Art Walk returns in May

Ocala’s First Friday Art Walk will return this week with more than 40 artist displays on the streets of downtown.

The installment will return on May 3 from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. The event recurs on the first Friday of each month.

The event is free, and includes live entertainment, music, family art activities and extended shopping hours.

“Participating visual artists and buskers are located along the downtown sidewalks next to participating businesses,” according to the event description. “There are a variety of art mediums on display and for sale.”

Visit the Downtown Square, at 100 SE First Ave., to pick up a map to participate in the self-guided tour of artists and vendors in front of a number of downtown businesses. A digital map can be downloaded here.
