FHP to conduct special enforcement detail along I-75

The Florida Highway Patrol will begin a Highway Enforcement of Aggressive Traffic (HEAT) detail on Interstate 75 in Alachua, Columbia and Marion counties on Nov. 15.

The operation will last through Thursday, November 18^th.

The goal of the four-day operation is to reduce crashes, injuries and fatalities caused by unlawful speed, following too closely and other hazardous moving violations.

Motorists are reminded to dial *FHP (*347) from a cellular phone to report aggressive drivers or to request roadside assistance.
