DeSantis involved in a car accident, campaign says

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis was involved in a car accident while traveling to a campaign event in Chattanooga, Tennessee on Tuesday, said Bryan Griffin, spokesperson for the governor’s 2024 presidential campaign.

Neither the governor nor his team members suffered any injuries in the crash, Griffin said in a written statement.

“We appreciate the prayers and well wishes of the nation for his continued protection while on the campaign trail,” Griffin said.

DeSantis had a fundraiser scheduled in Chattanooga on Tuesday, according to the “Chattanooga Times Free Press.”

No other details about the crash were immediately released by the campaign office.
