CF Webber Galley offers still life solo show
The exhibit will be on display Feb. 17 through March 12.

The College of Central Florida Webber Gallery invites the community to explore the unique qualities of navigating life in the American Southeast at the “Michael Mallard: Recent Works” exhibition.
“Mallard’s colorful pieces blend everyday objects and symbolic imagery to tell layered stories about identify, place and experience. Each work draws viewers in to examine the subtleties of Southern life, offering a rich, contemplative look at the beauty and challenges inherent in the rhythms and stories of the region,” noted the news release.
Mallard currently is an associate professor of visual arts at Albany State University in Georgia. He earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Georgia and a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Illinois.
The exhibit will be on view Feb. 17 through March 12. The community is invited to a closing reception at 12:30 p.m. March 12. The Webber Gallery is located at the CF Ocala Campus, 3001 S.W. College Road, Ocala. Hours are 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday-Thursday and admission is free.
