Career Fair: MCPS looks to hire hundreds for upcoming school year

Marion County Public Schools (MCPS) will be holding its first-ever Hometown Hiring Career Fair on Tuesday, July 19, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at three local schools, according to a June 29 press release.

Marion Oaks Elementary, 280 Marion Oaks Trail, Ocala, 34473, Fort King Middle, 545 N.E. 17th Ave., Ocala, 34470, and Belleview High, 10400 S.E. 36th Ave., Belleview, 34420, will serve as host sites for the event designed to attract classroom teachers, paraprofessionals, custodians, bus drivers, food service personnel and Marion Afterschool Program workers.

As of the date of this reporting, 22 schools and several departments will be hiring simultaneously at all three campuses. School administrators, district leaders and others will conduct interviews at all three locations as well, according to MCPS officials.
