AdventHealth Ocala has announced that is has been recognized as one of America’s Best Hospitals for Minimally Invasive Surgery by the Women’s Choice Award. The award signifies that AdventHealth Ocala is in the top 9% of 4,675 U.S. hospitals reviewed.

Minimally invasive surgery has become the standard of care for many surgical procedures as a safer, less invasive and more effective option to open surgery. It minimizes risks to the patient by reducing the size of incisions, which has benefits including shorter hospital stays (if needed), fewer complications, faster recovery and reduced pain, scarring and costs, the news release noted.

“We are honored to receive this recognition, which highlights the outstanding dedication and skill that our staff and providers bring to those who live and visit our community,” AdventHealth Ocala President and CEO Erika Skula said in the release.
