Savannah sparrow

This winter visitor to Marion County is typically found on the edges of grassy fields, where it forages for food on the ground and in the brush. Its muted colors may be accented by a patch of yellow above its eye. This one was spotted on the edge of a field at the Ocala Rotary Sportsplex.
