Northern rough-winged swallow
A local visitor during the breeding season from spring to fall, the northern rough-winged swallow is a year-round resident in Central America and along the Gulf Coast. They flit about quickly, often with flocks of other swallows, and seldom stop to pose for a photo. This one, spotted at the Ocala Wetland Recharge Park, was unusually accommodating.
