Alumni Weekend set for Ocala

The Second Annual Marion County Alumni Weekend is set for Friday and Saturday.

Presented by the Ocalumni Corp, the event kicks off on Friday at 6pm at the E.D. Croskey center with a discussion panel entitled: Life Beyond Ocala. The panel included five people who grew up in Ocala and set out across the country to follow their calling.

On Saturday, starting at 9 a.m. teams will participate in rehabilitation and maintenance projects at the MLK recreation complex as part of Ocala’s Leave It Better Program.

At 1 p.m. at Webb field, the group will hold the Art Of Love event. The event will include activities, music and food.

At 8 p.m. the group will hold the Alumni Gala. The scholarship and awards event honors those who have made contributions to the community. For information, visit www.ocalumni.com
