CF presents free spring concerts

The community is invited to several musical performances by the College of Central Florida (CF) Visual and Performing Arts Department, including by the CF Wind Symphony, CF Patriot Singers, CF Vocal Jazz Ensembles and CF Percussion Ensemble. All of the concerts are free and open to the public.

 

  • Tuesday, April 18, 7:30 p.m. — The CF Wind Symphony, directed by John Ash, will present “Lost” at the Dassance Fine Arts Center. “Lost” is the musical journey of a young boy who is lost and must face his fears in order to survive and make it back home.
  • Thursday, April 20, 7:30 p.m. — The CF Patriot Singers and the newly formed CF Vocal Jazz Ensemble will perform their spring concert at the Dassance Fine Arts Center. The program will feature music from six continents and students will be joined by CF faculty guests Emily Heumann, Joshua Mazur and Marina Tucker. The vocal groups are directed by Jason Longtin and will be accompanied by John Lowe on piano.
  • Sunday, April 23, 3:30 p.m.— The CF Percussion Ensemble, directed by Danielle Moreau, and the CF Brass Ensemble, directed by Brandon Loos, will perform at the Webber Center.
  • Tuesday, April 25, 7:30 p.m. — The CF Jazz Ensembles will perform their spring concert at the Dassance Fine Arts Center. This performance will feature the CF Jazz Band, directed by Loos, and the CF Vocal Jazz Ensemble, directed by Longtin.
