Those 12 and older can now receive the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine.

The Florida Department of Health in Marion County have started administering the shots to those newly eligible, according to a DOH press release.

Those who wish to get the vaccine do not need an appointment. Anyone under 18, however, will need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Vaccines are available at the Paddock Mall, 3100 SW State Road 200, on the following dates at times:

  • Monday, May 17 from 3 to 6 p.m.
  • Thursday, May 20 from 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
  • Monday, May 24 from 3 to 6 p.m.

Vaccinations are available on a first-come, first-served basis. While not required, individuals can also register online for an appointment at Marion.FloridaHealth.gov (or directly at www.tinyurl.com/MarionCOVIDvax).
