Belleview Student Elected FFA President

Riley Rowe, a senior at Belleview High School, has become the first ever Florida FFA Association president from Marion County. She was elected state president at the annual state FFA convention and is one of eight student officers statewide and the only officer representing Marion County for the 2020-2021 school year.

“Growth, creativity and connection are the foundation for which our generation will make the greatest impact,” Rowe wrote in a letter to Florida FFA member and advisors. “It is the greatest honor of my life to be chosen to serve you.” As an FFA member since middle school, Rowe has held several local and district offices in the organization. She plants to pursue an education and career in agriculture public relations.

Throughout the school year Rowe will visit students at many of the youth leadership and agriculture organization’s 350 chapters in Florida and will represent the state at the national convention and the American Agriculture Experience. Rowe credits her own agriculture knowledge to growing up on her family’s Angus cattle ranch in Weirsdale.
