Affordable housing event set for May 14 in Ocala

The City of Ocala Community Development Services is holding its annual Affordable Housing Community Event on May 14, 2026, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Mary Sue Rich Community Center at Reed Place at 1821 NW 21st Ave., Ocala.

The gathering aims to link residents with helpful resources, professional advice and practical steps toward achieving stable housing over the long term. Guests will hear informative talks from invited speakers on topics such as rent-to-own home buying options, heirs’ property issues, support services for those facing homelessness and the value of voter registration and civic involvement.

Local organizations will be on hand to highlight the programs, assistance and opportunities they provide.

Food will be provided and attendees will have a chance to participate in drawings for giveaways.

Space is limited to approximately 75 to 100 guests, so registration is encouraged. Scan the QR code to secure your spot.
