An apparent bomb threat led to the evacuation of Trinity Catholic High School in southwest Ocala  Friday afternoon, according to local law enforcement.

Jeff Walzack, Public Information Officer with the Ocala Police Department, confirmed some type of bomb threat was received around 1:45 p.m.  However, no bomb or device was located in a search conducted by responding officers.

Details about how the threat was made or how the search was executed were not immediately available.

Ocala Fire Rescue PIO Ashley Lopez said seven OFR units responded and remained staged until around 3 p.m.

The high school is located at 2600 S.W. 42nd Street and has an enrollment of over 510 students according to https://www.trinitycatholichs.org/#
