Night of Hope honors victims and survivors of domestic violence

Marion County Children’s Alliance Family Violence Prevention Workgroup will host “Night of Hope 2021,” a night honoring victims and survivors of domestic violence on Sept. 30.

The event will be held at the College of Central Florida, 3001 S.W. College Road from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. It features dinner, music, giveaways and survivor recognition, according to the event’s press release.

Vendors will also be available.

Wambui Bahati, a professional speaker and artist, is scheduled to be the keynote speaker. She wrote a one-act play entitled “I Am Domestic Violence,” according to the release.

Tickets are $35 per person.

Free childcare for children two years old or older will be available at the event (must be potty trained).
