MARION COUNTY – Public activities conducted by the Marion County School Board will temporarily move to a new home in January 2025 because of renovations.

The Board’s current meeting location inside the MTI Auditorium at 1614 E. Fort King St. in Ocala is undergoing a ceiling and lighting upgrade through January.

As a result of that work, all January School Board meetings and work sessions will take place in the Marion County Board of County Commission chambers located at 601 SE 25 Ave., Ocala, 34471. Specifically, these activities include:

  • Thursday, Jan. 9 @ 9 a.m. – Work Session
  • Tuesday, Jan. 14 @ 5:30 p.m. – Board Meeting
  • Thursday, Jan. 23 @ 9 a.m. – Work Session
  • Thursday, Jan. 23 @ 4 p.m. – ICROC Quarterly Meeting (Independent Citizens Referendum Oversight Committee)
  • Tuesday, Jan. 28 @ 5:30 p.m. – Board Meeting

Renovations at the School Board’s regular meeting location should be complete by Feb. 1, 2025.
