On March 15, Captain Brad Hardy was honored at the Ocala City Council meeting for 15 years of service.

In 2007, Hardy joined the City of Ocala family as a meter reader. One year later, after learning about the possibility of a career with fire and rescue, he began his journey with Ocala Fire Rescue (OFR).

During his time in OFR, Hardy has served in several capacities, including honor guard member for four years, union vice president for two years and is currently a captain for Fire Station #5.
