As Hurricane Milton approaches Florida, AdventHealth Centra Care is offering free virtual urgent care to residents throughout the state from Wednesday, October 9 at 8 a.m. through Thursday, October 10 at 8 p.m.

Residents can access virtual consultations with AdventHealth medical professionals 24/7 through the AdventHealth app. To bypass payment pages during this period, users can enter the code “MILTON” after downloading the app on their mobile devices.

“AdventHealth is here to keep you safe and healthy during Hurricane Milton,” the organization stated in a press release.

The service will offer virtual consultations and recommended treatment plans for urgent medical needs that do not pose a life-threatening risk.

For those seeking information on AdventHealth facilities during the hurricane, updates are available on the AdventHealth website at AdventHealth.com/hurricane.

While offering this service, AdventHealth reminds residents that hospitals are not equipped to serve as public shelters. Residents should seek information on official public shelters from their local county’s emergency operations centers. The organization urges individuals to prioritize safety by staying off the roads and remaining home until the storm passes.
